The Sugar Cube, is a pre-engineered battery energy storage system (BESS). The Cube sits alongside a solar array or wind farm to store the energy they generate. The energy is then dispatched to provide resiliency to the grid and during peak demand times. An optional high-efficiency generator can also be included to provide off-grid power when production is low. Sugar Cubes come equipped with heating/cooling and control systems to manage the power generation and output. In many areas, the Sugar Cube can also be outfitted to include high-speed satellite internet from Starlink.
